FotoBetter MC-95 DSLR Super C Clamp Safari Multi-Clamp Camera Mount with 1/4 and 3/8 Thread and Flat Surface Adapters for Photo Studio Photography DSLR Video Light Support Light Stand U Clip Holder

This Multi-Clamp (formerly known as Safari Clamp) is precision machined from solid blocks of 6061-T6 aluminum. The hardware is stainless steel. The Multi-Clamp securely mounts to any round stock up to 95mm. Or add the optional Flat Surface Adapters to mount to any flat surface up to 90mm in thickness. There are threaded holes in the Multi-Clamp: four 3/8″-16 threaded holes, and one 1/4″-20 threaded hole. Use these built-in sockets to mount your attachments.

    As grip gear goes it fits somewhere between a Manfrotto Nano clamp and a SuperClamp/Mafer clamp. It has multiple sockets, fourthreaded for 1/4”-20 and four threaded for 3/8”-16. The flat pads are held in place with Magnets and the smaller one tilts to accommodate irregular surface. Both pads can be removed to expose wide angle Vee shaped jaws.     This is a cool design for a more minimal tripod head. I needed lots of clearance around the base which is why I tried this ballhead, and for that it excels. Clamp design is fast and “easy,” but limits accuracy when closing. You have to carefully hold the body in place while closing the latch to prevent the force of closing from moving your chosen position. The small “foot” flexes more against a tripod than I’d like, but that’s the trade-off you have to accept for clearance. Weighs 79g on my…

    Wasn’t sure how this little ball head would perform. Have been happily impressed so far. Holds TIGHT. I’m using it on the end of a pretty solid collapsing “selfie stick”, as a hybrid interface for my gopro and contour cameras. What I did not expect is that it’s so solid that I now mount my DJI Osmo Mobile 3 gimbal to this as well.
